Candle Safety + Tips

    WAX POOL

  • The first time you light your candle, allow the wax to pool all the way to the outer edges of the glass jar. Allowing a full melt pool creates even burn (no tunneling) and maximum fragrance throw.

    CANDLE PLACEMENT WHILE BURNING

  • Always burn candles on a level, heat-resistant stable surface.
  • Never leave a lit candle unattended.
  • Never use a candle as a night light or while you may fall asleep.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Keep away from drafts like fans, vents, doorways, or windows.
    LONGEVITY
  • Trim your wick. Before burning, always trim the wick to ¼ inch. You can use a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or scissors. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, dripping or flaring.
  • If your candle’s flame starts to burn or flicker wildly and does not calm down, extinguish your candle, wait a few hours, and trim the cooled wick before relighting.
  • Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at one time.

     KEEP IT SAFE

  • Discard or recycle your candle jar when there is 1/4" of wax left.
  • Do not add dried flowers or debris to the candle, as any foreign object can get too close to the flame, catch fire, and result in damage.
  • Do not use room sprays or other flammable sprays near open flame.
  • Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from a glass holder. It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent use.
  • Never move or touch the candle jar when the wax is in liquid form.
  • Never extinguish a candle with water.
